What We Believe
What We Believe At Word Of Truth Church About Jesus, The Bible, And The Ch
To know JESUS, and to make HIM known. The Word of Truth Church is a non-denominational Christian Missions Church serving the Island of Maui. birthed from it’s overseeing body, The LORD’s Team Ministries. A Christian outreach ministry, with a focus on missions and assisting ministries and organizations in helping people both locally, and around the world. Reaching out not only spiritually, but also physically to the needs of the people. Our primary goal is the salvation of souls, and spreading the gospel of JESUS CHRIST. We are covenant partners monthly with over 20 ministries and organizations. All of our commitments are an ongoing effort to share the Love of GOD, and fulfill our mission to Raise Up Leaders In These Last Days.
WE BELIEVE
In the FATHER, SON, and the HOLY SPIRIT. Matthew 28:18-20
In One true GOD JEHOVAH, who sent HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST to die on the cross for the remission of sins. John 1:14
That JESUS CHRIST is GOD in the flesh, and through HIS resurrection we have eternal life. John 1:14
In salvation for mankind through JESUS CHRIST. John 3:17
In water baptism by immersion. Matthew 3:16-17
In the utterance of tongues as evidence of the Baptism of The HOLY SPIRIT. Acts 2:4
In the entirety of The Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation. 2 Timothy 3:16
In eternal life for the righteous and damnation for the wicked. Romans 6:23
The Bible
We believe that The Bible is the absolute inerrant Word of GOD, completely true from Genesis to Revelation inspired by The HOLY SPIRIT. It is the divine, authoritative message from GOD to the world. As the highest form of truth in existence. The Bible is the basis and standard for all our beliefs and practices. ( 2 Timothy 3:16)
The Trinity
We believe there is only one GOD who manifests Himself in three distinct persons: GOD The FATHER, GOD The SON, and GOD The HOLY SPIRIT. (Matthew 28:19)
The Virgin Birth
We believe that JESUS is The SON OF GOD, born of a virgin, and conceived of The HOLY SPIRIT. Without the virgin birth, JESUS would have been like any other man, tainted with sin and incapable of saving us of our sins. (Isaiah 7:14)
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that all of Christianity is founded upon JESUS CHRIST, the SON OF GOD. JESUS CHRIST is at the center of everything. We believe that JESUS is the only one who can reconcile us to GOD. He lived a completely sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again on the third day to prove HIS victory over death and sin and to empower us to live a victorious life here on earth and eternal life with HIM forever. We believe that JESUS CHRIST is coming back again as HE promised.
- JESUS is The PERFECT SACRIFICE for the sins of mankind. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
- JESUS is The Risen SAVIOR and LORD. (Romans 10:9-10)
- JESUS is The HEALER (1 Peter 2:24)
- JESUS is The BAPTIZER in the HOLY GHOST (Mark 1:8, Acts 1:5)
- JESUS is coming again (Matthew 24:44)
The Ministry of The HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the supernatural ministry of The HOLY SPIRIT, including the nine gifts of the SPIRIT listed in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10. We also believe in the baptism of The HOLY SPIRIT with the evidence of speaking in tongues ( Acts 2:1-4).
The Body of CHRIST
We believe GOD has placed within every Christian unique gifts and talents that are to be used to bless others in the Body of CHRIST (1 Peter 4:10).
The Church
We believe in the power and significance of the Church, and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together. Sharing the gifts GOD has placed within each of us for the edification of the body, and to reach the lost for CHRIST.
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25)
